For Interested Students
Work on The Environmental Law and Policy Annual Review qualifies for one academic credit per semester, and students have the option of working on the review for up to four semesters. Enrollment, open to interested second- and third-year students, is subject to the approval of the instructors, Professor Michael Vandenbergh and Linda Breggin. Enrollment is limited to a maximum of 20 students per semester. Students will earn one academic credit each semester (up to a total of four credits over four semesters), and participation in this course does not preclude membership on the editorial staff of one of Vanderbilt Law School's three scholarly journals, which include The Vanderbilt Law Review, The Vanderbilt Journal of Transnational Law and The Vanderbilt Journal of Entertainment and Technology Law.
Students involved in the review screen environmental articles from general law reviews and environmental law journals and work with an expert advisory board to select a small number of articles. Students also participate in securing commentators and editing the selected articles and commentaries. The works are presented at an annual conference co-hosted by the Environmental Law Institute (ELI) in Washington, D.C. Students participate in the production of the conference.
