Vanderbilt Regulatory Program – Scholarly Events

September 28, 2007: Conference on Regulation and Administrative Governance: Historical Lessons from the Administrative State

This  newly established  annual Conference on Regulation and Administrative Governance, sponsored by the Regulatory Law Program, will address cross-cutting regulatory and administrative law topics. This conference is the first in a series co-sponsored by Vanderbilt Law School, the University of Virginia of Law School and the Boalt Hall School of Law at University of California-Berkeley. It will explore "The Historical Foundations of the Administrative State," focusing on the periods both before and after the New Deal.

2006 Conferences & Roundtables

The Vanderbilt Regulatory Program hosts annual conferences and workshops that address issues of regulatory law and governance. 2006-07 conferences include:

Private Agreements and Regulation of the Global Environment, held on September 28-29, 2006. Co-sponsored by the International Law Program and the Vanderbilt Center for Environmental Management Studies.

Consumption, Law, and the Environment, held on October 19-20, 2006. Co-sponsored by the Ecology & Spirituality Research Project of the Vanderbilt Center for the Study of Religion & Culture.
