LAW 913: Advanced Copyright SeminarThis course supplements the basic copyright course by examining advanced U.S. copyright issues, particularly in the context of new media and digital technologies. After examining some core copyright issues in greater depth, the course will focus on the creation, protection and use of music, movies and other content in the Internet development. It covers cases, such as those involving Napster and DeCSS, as well as pending litigation. Attention is also paid to general policy issues, as well as recent legislative proposals, concerning rights, uses, licensing, technological protection and liability.
