LAW 861: Small Business Management

This course covers effective management practices for small to medium-sized organizations (5 to 500 employees). The course will introduce students to the demographics of small to medium sized business (SMBs), and examine the sharp contrasts in business operations (sales, marketing, finance, manufacturing, R&D, and human resources) and execution strategies between these organizations and very large enterprises. The course work will include some case studies and a term project. There will be some guest lecturers. Pre-or co-requisite: Introduction to Accounting & Introduction to Finance or Introduction to Corporate Finance.... Enrollment limited. [2 credit hours]
