Curriculum

Students may enroll for up to eight semester hours of course study in International Law and Comparative Law. All courses are offered in English and are taught by full-time faculty members of Vanderbilt University Law School in conjunction with expert faculty from the University of Venice. VULS students will receive direct credit for the courses taken through the program. Students may also enroll in an optional Italian language course.

Four courses will be offered for the Summer 2010 Session, taught by Vanderbilt University Law School faculty members Beverly Moran, Michael Newton, and Kevin Stack.

Classes meet Monday through Friday. Class attendance is required. Course demands are the same as for regular Vanderbilt Law School courses. The grading system, examination rules, and processes are the same as those used by Vanderbilt University Law School. Acceptance of any credit or grade for any course taken in the program is subject to determination by the student's home school.
