Choi

Career interest: Real estate law

Undergraduate: Centre College (Government, Psychology)

Summer 2006: Summer associate at Miller & Martin, Nashville; summer Associate at Waller, Lansden, Dortch & Davis, Nashville

Summer 2005: Intern, Governor's Legal Counsel's Office, Nashville; Summer Associate at Miller & Martin (Nashville office)

VULS culture: “[Vanderbilt is] a great school with international appeal in an exciting, growing city, and everyone is friendly. During my first semester, I was staying up late in the computer lab typing up U.C.C. for my Contracts final. Another student from my class -- I had never talked to her before -- came up , asked what I was doing and said, ‘Oh, I already did that. Let me send mine to you." It saved me four hours. And this is a typical attitude at Vanderbilt."

In the Classroom: “The quality of the professors and teaching are second to none. Most professors have an open-door policy; I’ve gone to talk to professors about legal questions and career guidance.”

Student organizations/activities: American Constitution Society, Legal Aid Society, Volunteer Intern at Federal Public Defender's Office, Intern at Governor's Legal Counsel's Office, Law and Business Society

Kyong’s take on Career Services: “The staff at the Career Services has been amazing. From individual attention -- talking to me first so that the staff can know me individually, checking my resume, providing mock interviews -- and group attention, including discussions about different careers and how to get them, and OCI (on-campus interviews), they have been just fantastic.”
