Michael James Sirlag Adler married Hillary Shayne Adler in a ceremony officiated by Rabbi Lisa Rubin on February 19 at the Angel Orensanz Foundation in New York. Michael is an associate in the New York office of the Chicago law firm Kirkland & Ellis. Posted 5-8-12

Anne Elizabeth Koday, associate at Neal Gerber & Eisenberg in Chicago, has been named pro bono volunteer of the month of February by Illinois Legal Aid Online. Anne, who serves on Neal Gerber’s pro bono committee, provides pro bono services to the Chicago Low-Income Housing Trust Fund, the CBA Municipal Court Pro Bono Panel and Chicago Volunteer Legal Services. Christopher D. Lalonde has joined Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough as an associate in the firm’s newly-former Nashville office. Rachel Gore and Jonathan Freed were married October 14 in Nashville. Richard McCarty, a friend of the bride’s family and the provost of Vanderbilt University who became a Universal Life minister for this event, officiated at the Belle Meade Plantation, a museum and events space. Rachel is an associate at the Law Office of Theodore N. Cox in New York, where she specializes in asylum and refugee law. Irina Khasin was recently appointed to the board of trustees of the Rebecca Davis Dance Company, which builds sustainable projects in post-conflict countries using dance training, performance and exchange as a tool of reconciliation in conjunction with community revitalization and economic development. Irina is an associate with Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton in Atlanta, which she joined after clerking for Judge C. Lynwood Smith, Jr. of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. Courtney H. Smith, an associate at Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz, has been named one of the firm’s Nashville Pro Bono Attorneys of the Year. Courtney was recognized for conceiving and implementing Helping Advocate Against Violent Environments Now (HAAVEN), which provides legal services to victims of domestic violence. Through the HAAVEN program, Baker Donelson partnered with the YWCA Weaver Domestic Violence Center to provide legal clinics and service to victims of domestic violence. At Baker Donelson, Courtney focuses on public contract law and complex commercial litigation.
