Class of 2013 Class Gift

2013 Class Gift Funds

VLS Public Service Initiative

This ambitious program was created in 2009 in response to the challenging economic climate, and is consistent with the school's commitment to public service as exemplified by the2013 Class Gift Poster summer stipend program and the Pro Bono pledge. The Public Service Initiative allows the Law School to provide a modest stipend for any graduate who secures a position working at a public interest organization (i.e., not-for-profit, NGO, governmental entity, judicial internship) for up to twelve months following graduation. The Program seeks to assist graduates in acquiring and refining practice skills; in building resumes; in helping to ensure that graduates make professional contacts in the geographic region in which they intend to practice; in facilitating transition into full-time employment; in helping graduates become acquainted with the rewards of public interest work; and in making it possible for graduates to make meaningful and lasting contributions to their communities.

Law School Annual Fund

An unrestricted funding source that allows the flexibility to fund the Law School’s most pressing needs, including: student programs and activities, scholarships and financial aid, faculty research and recruitment, facility maintenance and improvements, technological advancements. This fund is the way most alumni choose to give back to the law school on an annual basis. Last fiscal year 23% of all law alumni made a gift to the Annual Fund.
