Gifts from the Book Award pledge are contributed to the Vanderbilt Law School Fund. The first Book Award plaque will be conferred following the conclusion of the next semester in which the sponsored course is offered. Course schedules may vary. When course offerings permit, Book Awards will be conferred annually. If scheduling will not permit an annual award, the Book Award term will be extended or another course substituted subject to the donor's approval. In all cases, five Book Awards will be conferred for every fulfilled five-year pledge of $10,000 or lump sum payment of $7,500. A fulfilled pledge of $40,000 over five years will endow a Book Award in perpetuity.
