VULS graduates accept clerkships in federal and state courts

VULS clerks will serve on the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 4th, 6th, 9th, 11th and Federal Circuits
Twenty-eight members of the Class of 2007 and four alumni have accepted judicial clerkships in federal and state courts throughout the United States.
Vanderbilt graduates will clerk for judges on the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the 4th, 6th, 9th, 11th and Federal Circuits; the U.S. District Courts for the Middle District of Florida, Western District of Kentucky, Western District of Louisiana, District of Minnesota, District of New Mexico, Southern District of Ohio, Eastern District of Tennessee, Western District of Tennessee, Southern District of Texas, and Eastern District of Virginia; the U.S. Bankruptcy Courts for the Southern District of Georgia and the Middle District of North Carolina; and state courts in Alabama, Arizona, Delaware, Florida, New Jersey, New York and Tennessee.
“We are delighted by the success of our students and alumni in obtaining clerkships," said Professor Michael Bressman, the law school’s faculty clerkship advisor. "Vanderbilt is working extremely hard on this front. Our students recognize that the clerkship experience is unique and valuable, and judges throughout the country recognize that Vanderbilt graduates are highly qualified to serve in these prestigious positions."
