Oberlin President Martin Krislov discusses affirmative action

The former general counsel at the University of Michigan during two landmark 2003 Supreme Court affirmation action cases will speak at Vanderbilt Law School on January 29 in a lecture presented by The Hyatt Fund of the Vanderbilt Law School along with the Vanderbilt chapters of the American Constitution Society and the Federalist Society.
Marvin Krislov led Michigan's defense of its affirmative action admissions policies for both its undergraduate and law school. Krislov, who is now the president of Oberlin College, will share his unique insider's perspective from litigating these cases and he will discuss where he sees the future of affirmative education in the realm of public education under the Roberts Court and the Obama Administration.
The lecture, which will be held in Flynn Auditorium at 12 noon on Thursday, January 29, is free and open to the public.
