David Lewis honored with 2009 Richard E. Neustadt Award for best book on U.S. presidency

David Lewis, professor of political science and law at Vanderbilt University, was honored with the 2009 Richard E. Neustadt Award for his book, The Politics of Presidential Appointments. The Neustadt Award is given each year by the American Political Science Association to recognize the best book on U.S. presidency published during the previous year.
The Politics of Presidential Appointments also received the Herbert A. Simon Best Book Award from the APSA's Public Administration Section.
Lewis joined Vanderbilt's political science and law faculties in fall 2008, after serving as an assistant professor of politics and public affairs at Princeton University.
