How the Interview Scheduling Process Works
Employers are allowed to preselect 30 percent of their interview schedule for the fall recruiting program and 50 percent of their schedule for the spring first-year program.
Each employer’s hiring criteria is posted as a guideline for student bidding. Using the hiring criteria as a guide, students bid for interviews during the first week of August for the fall program and the last week of January for the spring program. Employers receive a package containing the resumes of all students bidding for interviews by mail. After reviewing the resumes, you may fax or email us with the names of students who will fill the preselected portion of the schedule.
After these students are given interviews, the remainder of the schedule is filled, according to students’ bidding rank. The resulting schedules reflect students in whom the employers are most interested, as well as the students who are most interested in those employers.
Student Transcripts
Career Services does not keep student transcripts on file. If an employer requires a transcript, students may provide them at the time of the interview.
Interview Schedules
Interviews are scheduled from 8:40 a.m. to 4:40 p.m., with one ten-minute break at 10:20 a.m. and a lunch break 12:30-2:00 p.m. Employers are requested to arrive 30 minutes in advance of the first interview to receive updated schedules and instructions. Fifteen-, twenty- and thirty-minute interview schedules are available for a full or a half day. Interviews are conducted at the Law School, which makes interview suites or offices available for this purpose.
