Andy Herz is a recognized authority and frequent lecturer in the areas of commercial office leasing and mortgage financing. His clients include major real estate owners and developers, commercial banks, investment banking firms, technology providers, hospitals, professional service companies and other law firms.

He is included in The Best Lawyers in America and is noted in Chambers USA 2008 as a key member of our highly rated real estate department. He has also been designated as one of only 15 real estate lawyers in the United States to be included in The Best of the Best in Real Estate for 2007 published by Legal Media Group. Professor Herz has been a frequent guest on the nationally syndicated radio show "Wake Up With Whoopi" talking about real estate law issues with Whoopi Goldberg, as well as an active and prominent member of numerous professional organizations focusing on commercial real estate.

Over the course of his legal career, Professor Herz has represented major national and international banking, technology and law firms in their leases for New York headquarters; represented a major hospital in a variety of acquisitions, dispositions and major leasing transactions, including recent sale of a large apartment complex; advised a major university located in New York City on its urban campus expansion project; represented landlords of prime New York office buildings in leases to major office and retail tenants in the entertainment, publishing, finance and retail fields; and represented lenders in financing more than 700 cooperatively owned apartment buildings and borrowers for mortgage financings of office buildings, industrial complexes, warehouses and apartment buildings.

He is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers.
