David L. Hudson, Jr. is a First Amendment Scholar at the Freedom Forum First Amendment Center, which is located on Vanderbilt’s campus.

Professor Hudson has authored, co-authored or edited more than 20 books, including The Rehnquist Court: Understanding Its Impact and Legacy (Praeger, 2006), The Handy Supreme Court Answer Book (Visible Ink Press, 2008) and the forthcoming Encyclopedia of The First Amendment (CQ Press, 2008) (co-editor). He is a First Amendment contributing editor for the American Bar Association’s Preview of U.S. Supreme Court Cases.

At Vanderbilt Law School, Professor Hudson teaches First Amendment Constitutional Law.
