Bill Norton is a member of Boult Cummings Conners & Berry in Nashville, and has practiced in the area of commercial finance, primarily creditor's rights and insolvency law, since beginning his legal career in 1982.

Professor Norton is the managing editor of Norton Bankruptcy Law & Practice 3d (Thomson/West) and co-author of Creditor's Rights Handbook (Thomson/West 2008). He is a certified business bankruptcy law specialist by the Tennessee Commission on CLE and Specialization, and is a fellow at the American College of Bankruptcy. He is president of Norton Institutes on Bankruptcy Law, which conducts national bankruptcy law seminars.

At Vanderbilt Law School, Professor Norton teaches Bankruptcy.
