Yolanda RederoAssistant Clinical Professor of LawJ.D. University of Minnesota Room No. 117 Yolanda Redero created and directs the law school's Domestic Violence Clinic , which was originally funded with a grant from the Violence Against Women Office of the Department of Justice. Along with supervising students in live-client representation, Professor Redero teaches the Domestic Violence Law Seminar. She is licensed to practice in Florida and Tennessee and she was an Assistant State Attorney for Miami-Dade County, Florida. She was the Assistant Chief of the Misdemeanor Domestic Violence unit in Miami, Florida before coming to Vanderbilt. She has conducted research on indigenous people’s access to justice relating to domestic violence in the Ecuadorean Andes. This research was part of a multi-disciplinary democracy study.
