Biography

Kevin Crumbo leads the turnaround and restructuring services at KraftCPAs, addressing turn-around management, restructuring, and related services, including acquisition due diligence and forensic accounting. He is a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Forensic Accountant and a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor. His clients include public and private operating companies, commercial and investment banks, law firms, and nonprofits. He has advised debtors, creditors, and customers in domestic and international insolvency matters. Professor Crumbo began his career in San Francisco at the accounting practice of Coopers & Lybrand and later advanced to senior management roles for distressed manufacturing, healthcare, and technology companies where he was involved in numerous turnaround and business combination projects. In recent years, a significant component of his work has pertained to the automotive supply industry, where he has been involved in more than 50 bankruptcy and distressed supplier matters, including large global cases where activities have spanned multiple countries. The latest US economic downturn has also escalated his representations in the areas of energy-intensive manufacturers, homebuilders, and retailers. He has also served as an independent director of Yak Communications (NASDAQ: YAKC), now a private company, where his responsibilities included chairing the compensation committee and advising on the acquisition of troubled competitors. Professor Crumbo chairs the Nashville Chamber of Commerce's International Business Council and is a board member of the Tennessee Turnaround Management Association. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the American College of Forensic Examiners, the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors, and the American Bankruptcy Institute.
