Biography

Andrew Kaufman's work focuses principally in the areas of financing and secured transactions (and in particular, financing mergers and acquisitions and leveraged buyouts), leasing, structured financings, workouts and reorganizations, and general corporate practice. Clients include major private equity firms, national lending institutions and public and privately held corporations and business organizations active in a wide variety of industries, including technology, telecommunications, energy, manufacturing, transportation, retail and financial services. Professor Kaufman is a nationally recognized expert in the areas of commercial law, finance and legal opinion practice, and he is a frequent speaker on these topics at seminars and continuing legal education programs. He serves on the board of directors of the Yale Alumni Fund and Vanderbilt Law School's National Council.
