J.D. Application Checklist
Use this checklist to make sure you don’t miss an important deadline.
Send official copies of all college and university transcripts to the Law School Data Assembly Service (LSDAS).
Complete the LSAT/LSDAS Registration Packet and LSAT administration.
Have two letters of recommendation sent to LSDAS or distribute the J.D. Applicant Recommendation Forms to recommenders.
By January 10: Complete both sides of the Law Scholars Application Form for Merit Awards, sign and date the form, and mail to the VULS Office of Admissions.
By March 15: Complete, sign, date, and mail the J.D. Application with your personal statement to the VULS Office of Admissions.
By March 15: International Students Only must have official TOEFL scores mailed directly to the VULS Office of Admissions, 121 21st Avenue South, Nashville, TN, 37203, USA.
By June 15: Transfer and Visiting Applicants Only must have a Letter of Good Standing and a complete first year transcript from your law school mailed to the VULS Office of Admissions, 131 21st Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37203.
Your J.D. application package must include
- $50 (U.S.) application fee, in the form of a check or money order payable to Vanderbilt University)
- A completed (both sides) and signed J.D. Financial Aid Statement
