Important Deadlines
August 1: You must decline Vanderbilt’s student hospitalization plan by this date to avoid being charged for it. You may only decline this coverage if you have health insurance coverage through a parent’s or spouse’s plan.
August 15: Deadline for payment of fall tuition
December 14: Deadline for payment of spring tuition
Your Student Account
The Vanderbilt Office of Student Accounts has complete information about the university’s billing policies. You must open a student account by completing the Vanderbilt Law School Student Account Agreement form (.pdf).
RefundsIf you must withdraw during a semester, Vanderbilt will refund a percentage of your tuition based on the date you withdraw. You must request your refund before the last day of classes for the semester during which you withdraw.
You may not register for any semester until you have paid any outstanding balances for any previous semester. In addition, Vanderbilt will not issue official or unofficial transcripts to a student with an outstanding balance, and diplomas of graduating students are withheld until all bills are paid.
Late Fees & Course ChangesAll students register on the first day of classes each semester. If you fail to register on that day, you will pay a $10 late registration fee. A $25 course change fee applies to any course changes after you register for each semester.
