The Health Law Society is dedicated to exploring career opportunities in health care law. This field includes the traditional area of medical malpractice law as well as the developing areas of bioethical issues in health and law; hospital representation; and health policy formulation for hospitals, physicians, and free-standing dominant market participants such as out-patient clinics, PDRs HMOs, etc. The society is also dedicated to providing members and classmates, as well as the law school community, with exposure to current issues in the field. The society holds health law fairs and conducts presentations by scholars, attorneys, and other individuals representing various facets of the health law field. The society is composed of members with a variety of interests. As a result, equal representation of all sides of any issue promotes debate and clear understanding of issues.
Health Law & Public Policy Forum
The Health Law Society manages and publishes the Health Law & Public Policy Forum, an online publication dedicated to law student scholarship addressing issues at the intersection of law, health care, and public policy.
