Hotel Accommodations
A
limited number of Marriott rooms have been blocked at a rate of $99.00
for a single or double room for the evening of October 14, 15, and 16.
These rates do not include taxes. Rooms are available on a first-come
first-serve basis, and we recommend that you make reservations as soon
as possible. The Marriott is the most convenient hotel to the law
school. We recommend booking at the Holiday Inn only if the Marriott is
full. There are a number of large conferences and conventions in town
this week and although there are a zillion hotel rooms in the immediate
area, it may be hard to find one close by. Rooms must be reserved by
12:00 noon September 14 to receive the conference rate (or even get a
room). Check-In Time: 3:00 PM…Check-Out Time: 12:00 PM. When you make
your reservations, please refer to Georgia State University, “SEAL
Conference Group” to get the conference rate.
Meals
-
A
simple continental breakfast is included with the rooms. Lunch will be
provided Friday and Saturday. Dinner will be provided on Friday
night. Reservations have been made at Dailey’s Restaurant, Downtown
Atlanta, October 15, at 7PM. Please notify us of any special dietary
needs or limitations.

- Transportation
-
-
By Air: Fly into the Atlanta Hartsfield
International Airport. To get from the airport to either hotel, you may
take either a cab (average rate $20 to $35) or the Marta Subway Station
at the airport. Using Marta to get to the Residence Inn, take the North
Bound train and get off at the Peachtree Center Station exiting toward
Peachtree Street south. The Residence Inn is right across the street
from the Georgia Pacific building and the Atlanta Library. Using Marta
to reach the Holiday Inn, take the North Bound train to the Five Points
Station and transfer to the East Bound train to the Decatur Station.
The Holiday Inn is 1 ½ block (Clairemont Ave.) from the Decatur train
station.
By Car:
Please consult MapQuest. Parking is very difficult and expensive, so
contact Diadra Dorsey at (404)621-0344 or
ddorsey@gsu.edu in order to arrange for cheaper visitor parking at
GSU. GSU parking is not open 24 hours, so if you plan to arrive late,
you need to make parking arrangements through the hotel.
