La Alianza at Vanderbilt Law School (formerly known as the Latin American Law Student Association, or LALSA) was founded to address the growing interest of law students in Spanish speaking countries of the world, their legal systems, and their relationship to the U.S. La Alianza offers a forum to discuss issues concerning Latin America and Spain, both internationally and as they relate to the U.S., and an opportunity to network with attorneys and others whose careers are associated with these areas.

The group also works to increase the presence of latino/a at Vanderbilt Law and to provide a support system for our current students. Our goals are to provide social and cultural activities, to carry on charitable and educational programs, promote leadership, and serve as a voice for the Latino/a community at Vanderbilt Law. We welcome everyone to participate.
