Mission

Law Partners provides an alternative social outlet for students. The main purpose of Law Partners is to provide a social support system. While most participants are students with families, spouses, domestic partners, and/or significant others, the group is in no way exclusive and welcomes all to participate and use its services. Law Partners welcomes incoming students and help them make the transition to Nashville and the Law School. Law Partners accomplishes its purpose through social activities, transition help, and other services.

Law Partners' activities include picnics, dinners, informal gatherings, and planned group events. The activities occur throughout the school year and summer. Activities are also held during the 1L orientation period in order to build a social network for new "Law Partners" and help ease the transition into law school.

Law Partners provides services for incoming students, including older, nontraditional law students with varied life experiences. Interested incoming students can be provided with a contact point within the Law Partners group who can provide vital information and assistance in relocating. For current students, Law Partners' social outlet provides access to babysitting exchanges, year-to-year relocation and significant-other support.
