In recent years at Vanderbilt Law School, the PDP chapter organizes a Law Explorers Program in collaboration with the Boy Scouts of America. In this program local high school students who have expressed an interest in legal or government careers to come to VULS and learn more about the law. Lessons are taught on a variety of topics and with varying formats, such as learning about statutory interpretation, evidence, and legal processes and viewing films featuring to analyze oral argument effectiveness. In 2009 the semester culminated in a Mock Trial where each student had the opportunity to take on the role of an attorney and present a part of the case.
