The Vanderbilt Law Republicans, previously known as the Republican National Lawyers Association, provides Vanderbilt Law students with an opportunity to connect law to the political setting. The VLR aims to present the Vanderbilt Law community with debates and discussions that go beyond the realm of the courts to seeking out the intersection of the law and the political world in practice. The organization hopes to continue working with other student organizations to provide events for the Law School that open up dialogue and debate, such as the co-sponsorships with the VLS Democrats and other Law School student organizations during the Fall 2008 election season.

The VLR was inactive during the 2007-2008 school year.  Boza and Lawless revitalized the organization in the Fall of 2008, taking leadership roles their first semester of Law School, an impressive and successful initiative.
