Objectives
- To ensure Vanderbilt University Law School maintains and strengthens its national reputation as a top-ranked law school with a total learning experience incorporating activities inside and outside of the classroom
- To effectively capitalize on the qualities of Vanderbilt Law School that set it apart from other schools
- Strategically utilize the diverse array of people, personalities, backgrounds, and interest that exist in Vanderbilt's student population
Activities
To organize and assist efforts to recruit top quality students to Vanderbilt Law School through:
- Cultivating relationships with pre-law advisors and department chairs at undergraduate universities
- Conducting pre-acceptance tours, provide student contacts, and distribute pertinent school information
- Performing aggressive post-acceptance recruiting and relationship building with accepted students
- Coordinating a well organized component for the Program for Admitted Students, led by well informed and candidate appropriate student ambassadors
- Assisting and supporting the Law School Admissions Office in their on going efforts to recruit and retain the best law school candidates
To encourage alumni support and involvement in Vanderbilt Law School through:
- Participation in alumni events and reunions
- Soliciting financial support through personal contact
- Assisting and supporting the Alumni Development Office in their on-going efforts to keep Vanderbilt Law School alumni as informed, supportive, and active as possible
