Visiting VLS

ALERT: Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are not able to offer our usual class visits, tours of the Law School, or other in-person visits until further notice. Vanderbilt University's policies and protocols for responding to the COVID-19 pandemic are rooted in safety for staff, faculty, students, invited guests (e.g., contractors), and the public with whom we interact. Access to outdoor areas of the university campus requires the use of face masks. We look forward to re-opening our doors to prospective students and other visitors when public health circumstances permit.

We encourage prospective students to visit VLS. When classes are in session, visitors can arrange to sit in on a first-year law class, attend a student-guided tour, or take a self-guided tour of the law school. Please click here for more information and pre-visit registration.

Visitors are welcome and encouraged to contact the Admissions Office in advance at 615-322-6452  or admissions@law.vanderbilt.edu .The Admissions Office is located in Suite 106 on the first floor of the Law School Building. Please note that Nashville is in the Central Time Zone.

Parking

Visitors may park in front of the law school, located at 21st Avenue South and Grand Avenue, in parking spaces marked for visitors. Please obtain a parking pass for your vehicle from the information desk in the main hallway of the law school. Other spaces in front of the law school are permit-only parking for employees and students.

If visitor parking in front of the law school is not available, please park in the Terrace Place Garage at the corner of 21st Avenue and Terrace Place (use spaces 41-92) , or the Wesley Place Garage on Scarritt Place at 21st Avenue (use spaces 52-170). Parking costs $8.00 per day (cash only) at these garages - look for pay boxes with space numbers on wall by the stairwell. Both garages are within three blocks of the law school.
