Darrius Woods is a staff attorney with the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation, where he fights for housing stability in Atlanta’s Westside neighborhoods. Before joining AVLF, Professor Woods was an Equal Justice Works Fellow with the Atlanta Legal Aid Society, where he worked on predatory forms of real estate financing, including land contracts and rent-to-own agreements. As a student at Vanderbilt Law, Woods launched the law school’s Pro Bono Spring Break program in 2016 and interned with The Bronx Defenders and with the Advancement Project in Washington, D.C.. Before entering law school, he taught kindergarten in Atlanta public schools for two years with Teach for America.
