International Mergers and Acquisitions Short Course

This short course will expose students to some of the most important elements of a typical mergers-and-acquisition transaction. After reviewing some foundational concepts, the course will explore issues relating to structuring and executing cross-border M&A deals in which one or more of the parties involved are non-U.S. entities, with particular emphasis on Brazil. As part of focusing on issues that typically arise concerning cross-border M&A deals with Brazil, the course will also focus on U.S. M&A and securities laws, rules, and regulations. Pass/Fail. 

Pre or co-requisite: Mergers and Acquisitions or Mergers and Acquisitions short course. 

Note: The Short Course does NOT count towards the Professional Skills Requirement for graduation.
