Insurance and Litigation

The existence and extent of third-party liability coverage touches on many types of law practice. This course focuses on litigating coverage issues as well as the impact that the presence of insurance coverage can have on other types of litigation. The course will give students a working knowledge of the law of insurance as well as the design, interpretation, and application of insurance contracts. The core principles reviewed in this course are applicable to all types of insurance, but the course will have an emphasis on third-party liability coverage. [2]
