Law of Economic Security & Industrial Policy Seminar

In recent years, commentators and lawmakers have become increasingly interested in economic security – largely due to worries about supply chain resilience, geo-economic competition with China, climate shocks, national security threats to global interdependence, and the decline of domestic manufacturing. This seminar will provide an overview of the primary laws related to economic security and industrial policy, including the Defense Production Act, Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS), economic sanctions, and export controls. Students will have the option to write a series of short papers or a longer research paper. Enrollment Limited. [3]
