Michael Bressman, director of Vanderbilt Law School’s Clerkship Program, has announced that 50 Vanderbilt Law students and recent graduates, including 28 members of the Class of 2017, will serve in 53 clerkships in 2017-18 or future terms.
VLS students and graduates will serve federal clerkships with a Supreme Court justice; appellate judges on the Third, Fifth, Sixth, Eighth, Eleventh, D.C. and Federal Circuits; a special master of the U.S. Court of Federal Claims; and district courts in 17 states—Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Maryland, Mississippi, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas and Virginia—as well as D.C.; and in state courts in Florida, New Jersey, Tennessee and Wisconsin. Unless indicated otherwise, clerks will serve during the 2017-18 term. This announcement reflects clerkships for which Vanderbilt students and graduates had been hired as of June 30, 2017.
