Fifteen 1Ls called 517 alumni donors on Feb. 28 to thank them for their gifts during the annual Thank-a-Thon. “We try to call everyone who has given $500 or more to the law school within the past year,” said Scotty Mann, assistant dean for Development and Alumni Relations. “The Thank-a-Thon connects students whose education is enhanced by generous alumni with loyal donors. Our donors really enjoy hearing from current students.”
Students and alumni also discover their own connections. 1L Madison Crooks was surprised to discover that the donor she’d called to thank knew her grandfather.
Thank-a-Thon volunteers reached donors in 39 states and D.C. They included:
