David Gerregano ’95 (B.A. ’92) has been named deputy commissioner of the Tennessee Department of Revenue, responsible for legal services, tax policy and administrative hearings.
David has been with Tennessee’s Department of Revenue for 14 years, first serving as tax counsel and then senior tax counsel. He has also served as an administrative hearing officer and a departmental liaison to the General Assembly.
Before his promotion to deputy commissioner, he headed the department’s legal and tax policy offices while serving as a legislative liaison. Tennessee’s Department of Revenue collects approximately 91 percent of total state tax revenue.
