Jill Warnock ’20 serves on litigation team in Ukraine v. Russian Federation

Jill Warnock ’20 , an associate with Covington based in Washington, D.C., was part of the litigation team in Ukraine v. Russian Federation  that successfully won an order on provisional measures from the International Court of Justice on March 16.

By a vote of 13-2, the Court ordered Russia to “immediately suspend” the ongoing war in Ukraine.

Students in the International Law Practice Lab, which is directed by Professor Michael A. Newton, are also supporting lawyers in Ukraine in human rights litigation and documentation of atrocity crimes committed during the conflict.
