New Order of the Coif members from Class of 2012 announced

Associate Professor Amanda Rose, Secretary of the Vanderbilt Law School Chapter of Order of the Coif, has announced that 19 graduates of the Class of 2012 have been selected for membership in the Order of the Coif. Members of this prestigious organization are selected by faculty approval and represent the top 10 percent of the class.

New members from the Class of 2012 include:

  • John Carl Arceci of Brooklyn, New York, who earned his B.A. at Brown University. Arceci is clerking for Judge Richard L. Gabriel on the Colorado Court of Appeals.
  • David Andrew Curtis of Greensburg, Indiana, who earned his B.A. at DePauw University. Curtis joined Riley Warnock & Jacobson in Nashville as an associate.
  • Jenna Golda Farleigh of Archorage, Alaska, who earned her B.A. at Dartmouth College. Farleigh is clerking for Judge Ronald M. Gould of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in 2012-13 and for Judge Richard C. Tallman of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in 2013-14.
  • Anne Blustein Greengard of New York, New York, who earned her B.A. at Dartmouth College. Greengard joined Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom in New York as an associate.
  • Benjamin Samuel Halperin of Guilford, Connecticut, who earned his B.A. at Tufts University. Halperin joined Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom in New York as an associate.
  • Eric Daniel Jackson of Idaho Falls, Idaho, who earned his B.A. at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville, and also holds an M.S. and Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Jackson is clerking for Judge Bobby Shepherd of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit.
  • Ilana Rachel Kattan of Chevy Chase, Maryland, who earned her B.A. at Vanderbilt University. Kattan joined Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Washington, D.C., as an associate.
  • Karen Usselman Lindell of Atlanta, Georgia, who earned her B.A. at the University of Georgia. Lindell is clerking for Judge Kent A. Jordan of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
  • Peter Schnorr Muller of Cincinnati, Ohio, who earned his B. A. at the University of Chicago and also holds an M.A. from the University of Mississippi. Muller joined Dinsmore & Shohl in Cincinnati as an associate.
  • Richard Alexander Payne of Owensboro, Kentucky, who earned his B.A. at Kentucky Wesleyan University. Payne joined Harwell Howard Hyne Gabbert & Manner in Nashville as an associate.
  • Joshua Granger Rabon of Georgetown, South Carolina, who earned both a B.S. and an M.Acc. at the University of South Carolina, Columbia. Rabon joined the legal staff of the U.S. Internal Revenue Service based in Washington, D.C.
  • Gavin Reinke of Naples, Florida, who earned his B.A. at the University of Florida. Reinke is clerking for Judge Phyllis Kravitch of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
  • Jennifer Hope Bennett Shinall of Memphis, Tennessee, who earned her B.A. at Harvard University and was the first graduate of Vanderbilt’s J.D./Ph.D. Program in Law and Economics. Shinall is clerking for Judge John D. Tinder of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit.
  • Samara Michelle Spence of Austin, Texas, who earned her B.A. at the University of Texas, Austin. Spence is clerking for Judge Bernice Bouie Donald of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in 2012-13 and for Judge Jane Branstetter Stranch ’78 of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit in 2013-14.
  • Logan Tiari of Pasadena, California, who earned his B.S. at Georgetown University. Tiari joined O’Melveny & Myers in Los Angeles as an associate.
  • Dustin Scott Timblin of Hendersonville, Tennessee, who earned his B.S. at Tennessee Technological University. Timblin joined Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis in Nashville as an associate.
  • Michael Proctor Walker of Atlanta, Georgia, who earned his B.A. at the University Indiana-Purdue in Indianapolis. Walker is clerking for Judge W. Lewis Sands of the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia.
  • Daniel Robert Widboom of Brooksville, Florida, who earned his B.A. at the University of  Florida. Widboom has joined Jones Foster Johnston & Stubbs in West Palm Beach, Florida, as an associate.
  • Virginia Maynard Yetter of Maitland, Florida, who earned her B.A. at Vanderbilt University. Yetter has joined Hunton & Williams in Washington, D.C., as an associate.
