Equal Justice Works named Olivia Hatch ’27 the winner of this year’s Regional Public Interest Award for the South Region.
Hatch, the Garrison Social Justice Scholar for the Class of 2027, was recognized for her work as Director of Vanderbilt Law’s Street Law Legal Aid Society, which develops programs to educate students and communities about law, democracy, and human rights in the Nashville area.
Each year, Equal Justice Works recognizes eight law students from across the country whose extraordinary commitment to public service and access to justice sets them apart in their communities.
“These eight law students have stepped up to serve their communities with dedication, creativity, and care,” said Mia Sussman, Senior Vice President of Network Engagement at Equal Justice Works. “We’re so proud to honor the winners of the 2026 Regional Public Interest Award and grateful for the work they are already doing as law students to expand access to justice.”
