Adele El-Khouri, Class of 2013, has joined the Office of the White House Counsel as an associate counsel.
She had previously served as counsel to the assistant attorney general in the Department of Justice.
El Khouri was a litigation associate with Munger Tolles & Olson in Washington, D.C., for almost three years before joining the Department of Justice in September 2021. She had practiced with the firm since 2017, with the exception of three months in 2019 when she served as a special counsel to the Senate Committee on the Judiciary.
Before joining Munger Tolles & Olson, she was an attorney-advisor in the Office of Legal Counsel with the Department of Justice.
She started her legal career as a law clerk for federal appellate judges on the Fourth and Fifth Circuits.
She earned her B.A. at Northwestern University before earning her J.D. at Vanderbilt.
