Andrew Gould  has joined Arnold & Itkin LLP in Houston, Texas, to create and lead the firm’s appellate section. From 2014 until joining Arnold & Itkin, Andrew had served as a federal criminal appellate prosecutor in the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Texas, where he recently completed his 20th Fifth Circuit oral argument. Posted 4.29.21

Peter Routhier has been admitted to partnership at Faegre Baker Daniel effective Jan. 1, 2019. Peter Routhier is an intellectual property lawyer focused on copyright and trademark law. He provides strategic counsel on the maintenance and preservation of copyright and trademark rights, enforces those rights in federal litigation, and defends against third-party infringement claims. Jody R. Shaw was recently named to the inaugural Legal Advisory Council of the Institutional Limited Partners Association (ILPA), a trade association for institutional investors in private equity. Through the Maryland Office of the Attorney General, Jody serves as Deputy Counsel for Investments at the Maryland State Retirement and Pension System. Patrick J, Lynch has been named a Louis Bacon Environmental Leadership Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School, where he will be earning a Mid-Career Master in Public Administration. The fellowship is offered by the Center for Public Leadership at HKS, and is awarded to "emerging leaders dedicated to preserving and enhancing our shared environment." He is a Member of the World Commission on Environmental Law and an Executive Committee member of the IUCN-WCPA Transboundary Conservation Specialist Group. Posted 4.24.18

Abbey Morrow has been named director of marketing for Nashville-based Counsel On Call, a legal services company. She works out of the company’s Atlanta offices. Prior to working at Counsel On Call, she was a litigation associate at an AMLAW 100 firm. In the community, she serves as a director for the Atlanta Bar Association CLE Board of Trustees and is co-chair of the State Bar of Georgia YLD Intrastate Moot Court Competition. John E. Haubenreich (MPP ’10) has been elevated to partner of Waller Lansden Dortch & Davis in Nashville. Patrick Joseph Lynch has been appointed as a member of the World Commission on Environmental Law (WCEL). WCEL serves as the principal source of legal technical advice to the International Union for Conservation of Nature, its members, and its collaborating institutions on all aspects of environmental law. Patrick currently directs the Futaleufu Riverkeeper and serves as a policy advisor to other nonprofits in Chile. Patrick's first article on Chile's energy policy and climate change was published in July. Posted 8.5.16

Nicki Green married Brandon Johnson July 18, 2015 at the George Peabody Library in Baltimore, Maryland. Nicki is the director of certification for the Women's Business Enterprise National Council and Brandon is a business operating partner at Chick-Fil-A. Posted 7.25.16

Steven Berneman (MBA’10), is CEO and co-founder of Overdog, which has been bought by New York-based startup Odd Networks. Odd Networks creates platforms for over-the-top streaming video channels. Posted 5.23.16

Csaba Menezes Rusznak and Flavia Menezes Rusznak, along with big brother Gabriel Francisco Menezes Rusznak, are excited to announce the birth of their second son, Lucas Nicholas Menezes Rusznak. Allyson Claybourn has been elected chair-elect of the Young Lawyers Section (YLS) of the Indiana State Bar Association (ISBA) at its annual meeting in French Lick, Indiana.  Her term will expire in October 2016, after which she will become chair of the YLS and will serve on the board of governors of the ISBA. Allyson is associate general counsel at Berry Plastics Corporation. Previously, she served as an associate at the firm Jackson Kelly from 2012-13 and as a law clerk for Hon. Richard L. Andrew Robert Gould has joined the appellate division of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Texas in Houston.  He previously served in that federal district as a law clerk to Judge Lee H. Jamie Brown has joined Bass Berry & Sims in their securities and shareholder litigation practice group. She was recruited from Wyatt Tarrant & Combs. Before Jamie joined Wyatt in March of 2013, she spent almost three years at Bouchard Margules & Friedlander in Wilmington, Delaware. She specializes in working with public companies—especially companies in the health care and finance sectors—on shareholder disputes arising from alleged violations of federal and state securities laws. Daniel J. Cocca Jr. has moved his practice to Goodwin Procter, where he is an associate in the technology companies group. Daniel was previously with Proskauer, where he primarily served as a capital markets attorney. Jody R. Shaw recently joined the Maryland office of the Attorney General as an assistant attorney general for the State Retirement and Pension System, where he represents the System in investment transactions and related contractual arrangements. Jody was previously a corporate and securities associate in the Baltimore, Maryland, office of Hogan Lovells and, prior to that, a law clerk to the Honorable Samuel H. Csaba Menezes Rusznak and Flavia Menezes Rusznak are excited to announce the birth of their first child, Gabriel Francisco Menezes Rusznak. Gabriel was born on July 29 in San Francisco, weighing 8 lbs. 11 oz. and measured 21 inches. Posted 8.19.13

Patrick Joseph Lynch has joined Futaleufú Riverkeeperas the non-profit's executive director. As executive director, Patrick coordinates the Futaleufú Riverkeeper's various campaigns, oversees the organization's programs, and works closely with the Board of Directors on developing strategies for improving land conservation and the protection of the watershed. He works out of the organization's central office in Santiago, where the Futaleufú Riverkeeper is joining forces with other Chilean and international NGOs to protect Patagonia from threats to its unique natural beauty and help foster the region's many opportunities for sustainable growth. Lauren Elizabeth Childers of Lake Oswego, Oregon, has joined DECK Monitoring in Portland, Oregon, as their General Counsel. Beppe Alberto Gualino, LL.M., died in Nashville after a long battle with cancer on October 31, 2010. He was 36. Beppe earned his law degree at University of Lima in his native Peru in 1998, and then earned an MBA from University of Alcala de Henares in Spain and a Certificate of Human Resources from University of Cataluna. He married Karen Goetz after being diagnosed with skin cancer in Spain in 2004, and the couple moved to Peoria, Illinois, where both worked for Caterpillar. Beppe and Karen relocated to Nashville with the company two years later. Beppe earned his LL.M. at Vanderbilt while working full time and enduring weekly chemotherapy sessions. He loved to travel and was fluent in Spanish, English, French, Italian, Portuguese and Catalan. Even while fighting cancer, Beppe continued doing community service work. He is survived by his wife, Karen Goetz, his parents, grandmother and brother, and many members of his
