Biography
Matt Blumenstein is Director, Head of Underwriting, and Deputy General Counsel of Statera Capital, a litigation finance firm based in Chicago.
Matt joined Statera from Williams & Connolly LLP, one of the world’s premier litigation law firms, where he practiced civil and criminal litigation for 10 years. Before joining Williams & Connolly, Matt clerked for Judge Karen LeCraft Henderson on the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.
Matt graduated with a B.A. from Stanford University and received his J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School. At Vanderbilt, Matt graduated in the Order of the Coif, served on the Law Review, and received several scholastic awards, including the Cecil D. Branstetter Award for extraordinary achievement in the study of litigation and dispute resolution.
