Biography
Ryan Riedmueller is a Clinical Legal Fellow with the Stanton Foundation First Amendment Clinic at Vanderbilt Law School. Before his current role, he clerked for District Judge Anne R. Traum in the United States District Court, District of Nevada. Prior to his clerkship, he graduated cum laude from the University of California, Irvine School of Law and received his undergraduate degree in Media Studies from the University of California, Berkeley. During law school, he served as an Executive Editor of the UC Irvine Law Review, Associate Editor of the UC Irvine Journal of International, Transnational, and Comparative Law, and as Vice-Chair of the Moot Court Board. His experience as a clinical student in the Environmental Law Clinic ignited a passion for experiential learning and public interest advocacy. He is particularly interested in issues impacting freedom of speech and freedom of the press, how those issues are developing in response to technology, and the intersection of the First Amendment and land use decisions. In his free time, he enjoys wilderness backpacking and playing bass guitar.
