Biography
Tom is a partner on the government relations team at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, where he leads the Tennessee state government relations practice. Tom served as Vice Chair of the Tennessee Sports Wagering Council from 2019-23, the body that regulates sports betting in the state, and practices on Nelson Mullins gaming law team. Tom has 40 years experience in journalism, politics, practicing law, and government relations, and so brings a multi-dimensional approach to clients' public issues. Tom also is active in the United Methodist Church, and was a delegate to the church's 2024 General Conference, where he was elected a lay alternate member of the church's Judicial Council.
