Gregory Bressler serves as general counsel of SunAmerica Asset Management, and as deputy general counsel for AIG Life & Retirement. Before joining SunAmerica in 2005, Professor Bressler was director of U.S. asset management compliance for Goldman Sachs Asset Management and a deputy general counsel for Credit Suisse Asset Management. After earning his law degree at Vanderbilt in 1991, he practiced law with Werner & Kennedy and then with Swidler Berlin Shereff Friedman. Professor Bressler speaks regularly at conferences on topics relating to registered investment companies, private funds, investment advisers and broker-dealers. His articles on these topics have been published in The Investment Lawyer and The Review of Securities & Commodities Regulation. He serves on committees of the Investment Company Institute and the New York City Bar Association Committee on Investment Management Regulation. He earned his B.S. at the State University of New York at Binghamton magna cum laude and his J.D. at Vanderbilt, where he was managing associate justice of the Moot Court Board.
