Kelly Jones Leventis teaches legal writing to first-year J.D. students. Prior to joining Vanderbilt’s faculty, Professor Leventis was in private practice in Charleston, South Carolina, where she focused on complex civil litigation including construction, insurance coverage and professional negligence cases, as well as education law. After earning her undergraduate degree, Professor Leventis worked as a corps member with Teach for America, teaching special education high school students in the Mississippi Delta. In 2007, she attended the Harvard Graduate School of Education to earn a master’s degree in education policy and was awarded a Zuckerman Fellowship through Harvard’s Center for Public Leadership.
