Raquel L. Bellamy is a Nashville-based attorney who focuses her practice on civil litigation, serving both individual and corporate clients. A native New Yorker, Professor Bellamy speaks fluent Spanish and began her career focusing on immigrant rights, representing individuals from over 40 different countries. She has also worked on cases involving immigration and nationality law, labor and employment law, class action litigation, social security and disability law, and municipal utility law. She also represented unaccompanied minors in Juvenile Court seeking to obtain protection from abuse, neglect or abandonment. Professor Bellamy was a member of the 2015-16 class of the Nashville Bar Foundation’s Leadership Forum. She is a member of the National Trial Lawyers “Top 100” and The National Black Lawyers “Top 40 under 40.”
