Stacie Jonas has helped provide legal services to victims of labor and sex trafficking in Texas and six southern states as an attorney and team manager of the human trafficking program at Texas RioGrande Legal Aid. Professor Jonas also represents workers who have suffered other forms of labor exploitation. Prior to moving to Texas to join TRLA, Jonas was an attorney at Southern Migrant Legal Services, a project serving migrant farmworkers in the South. She has represented dozens of victims of trafficking seeking immigration relief and in civil lawsuits against their traffickers. Jonas was a Wasserstein Public Interest Fellow at Harvard Law School in 2018.
