The Social Justice Reporter will publish cutting-edge intersectional scholarship and expert perspectives on social justice, civil rights and public-interest lawyering after it launches next year. Mikkaela Salamatin ’21 receives Honorable Distinction for Governance Insight Award from Investments & Wealth Institute
Salamartin accepted the award at the institute’s 2022 ACE conference for her article, “Balancing Innovation and Protection: Understanding the Landscape of DeFi Regulation,” which she wrote as a VLS student with support from Professor Michael A. Natalia Wurst of San Diego, California, has been selected as the Garrison Social Justice Scholar for the Class of 2024. Wurst’s selection was announced by Assistant Dean for Public Interest Spring Miller. The Garrison Social Justice Scholarship program supports students who intend to practice in the public interest.
