Wilson and his wife Elaine have documented a $17.5 million bequest to support their existing Weldon Wilson Scholarship at VLS. The scholarship was established in 2011 in honor of Weldon’s 25th reunion. Weldon Wilson is vice chair of Resolution Life Group Holdings, a global life insurance group focusing on the acquisition and management of portfolios of life insurance policies. Read More

The Jordan A. Quick Memorial Award is given annually to the student judged to have made the greatest contribution to the quality of life at VLS through leadership with the Vanderbilt Bar Association. Epps served VBA president in 2021-22. Read More

Usman is an associate professor of law at Belmont University College of Law, where he has taught for 10 years. He was a senior law clerk on the Tennessee Supreme Court and an assistant attorney general in the Tennessee Attorney General's Office before joining the Belmont Law faculty. Read More

Students who take the pledge volunteer a minimum of 75 hours of pro bono legal work and community service during their law school careers. Seventeen  members of the Class of 2023 were also recognized this spring for completing their pledge service. Read More

Malbrough will focus on preventing houses from becoming “heirs property” by promoting estate planning as an EJW Fellow at the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee and the Cumberlands. His two-year fellowship is funded by the Albert & Anne Mansfield Foundation. Read More

The Philip G. Davidson III Memorial Award is presented annually to the student, chosen by the Vanderbilt Bar Association Board of Governors, who is dedicated to the law and its problem-solving role in society, and who provides exemplary leadership in service to Vanderbilt Law School and the greater community. Smith is one of 14 law students selected for the program, through which they visit Germany and Poland and examine the conduct of lawyers in Nazi-occupied Europe. Read More
